Seeking a dynamic, passionate and innovative Vice President of Product Marketing. This individual will work closely with product management, marketing, channels and sales organizations. This individual will own market research and outbound marketing activities from strategy through execution, such as developing and driving positioning and solution messaging that clearly articulates our market leading position. Entrust Datacard is a market leader in certificate solutions, which has emerged as the foundation on which interactions between people, systems and things will be built.   While the approaches are time tested, ubiquitous connectivity, DevOps, and the Internet of Things bring new challenges to the way solutions are delivered to some of the largest enterprises and most sensitive environments.   Leverage one of the most trusted names in cybersecurity to participate in this change   


Position Overview: 

This Certificate Solutions leadership position is critical to growing Entrust Datacard’s share in the high-growth certificate solutions market.  He or she will define the solution value prop for various key use cases, along with messaging that is differentiated and compelling. You must engage with and represent the customers and thought leaders perspective, while leading marketing in evangelizing our stoiry, delivering messages that resonate and creating awareness for Entrust Datacard.  You will serve as the authority on Entrust Datacard Certificate Solutions in the market and be an evangelist for the portfolio on the world stage.  The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, a no-nonsense approach to what matters to the customer, and be a great story teller.   This role is based in our Boston, MA, Ottawa, Dallas, TX, or Minneapolis, MN offices; remote work may be considered, depending on the candidate and discretion of the hiring manager, but plenty in office time as well as some travel is a requirement. 


Key responsibilities and Activities:

  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly product marketing and communication strategies and plans, working in partnership with corporate and field marketing.
  • Developing product positioning and unified messaging working with product management that is both compelling and differentiating in the market
  • Define and articulate the solution communication strategies, positioning, unique value proposition, and messaging plans for various target audiences/personae.
  • Leading the team to communicate the value proposition of the solutions and use-cases to the sales team and developing collateral and other sales toolkits to support the process.
  • Managing product, service and solution launches along with product management to introduce new products, target adjacent market and drive training and messaging for software releases
  • Gathering market intelligence from and about our clients and prospects, Be the expert on your buyers, personae, how they buy, and their buying criteria; glean deep customer insights that lead to better offerings; be current and very knowledgeable about your competition.

  • Working with industry analysts, thought leaders and other influencer communities.
  • Coordinate with other segments,  corporate, regional and vertical marketing as well as demand gen/campaign team to align marketing initiatives and communication programs.
  • Leading a core team of seasoned Product Marketing professionals
  • Measure, track and report on effectiveness of all programs used to promote and market Entrust Datacard’s Certificate Solutions

  • 12-18 years of increasing responsibility in high-tech software product marketing, preferably in information security or cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated results establishing marketing and communications plans that lead to successful product growth and profitability
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a Technical field is required, MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience with enterprise security products, ideally cryptography.
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and writing proficiency are mandatory

  • Able to conceive, initiate, and sell new ideas in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and credibility with technical and sales communities
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with channels a must
  • Demonstrates creative energy in message delivery
  • High energy, self-motivated, and driven, with a strong sense of ownership and passion for winning
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization for USA/Canada.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.
