Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst position is a member of the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team that is responsible for supporting the executive leaders with data, metrics, and insights they need to make strategic, operational, and tactical decisions.  You will work closely with the finance team as well as functional department directors and team members to analyze and support business activities.  You will be responsible for tracking performance against projections, working with department managers to develop budgets, investigating data inconsistencies, and assisting in the preparation, analysis and presentation of the monthly financial and operational reports to the executive management team.  Success will be dependent upon a wide range of skills including excellent communication skills, strong task organization skills, and a get-it-done attitude!

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead global annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Develop analytics around key operating metrics, monthly and quarterly management and segment reporting, organic and acquisition revenue growth measurements and geographic reporting.
  • Support operating groups and Senior Management with in-depth analysis and reporting in an effort to drive growth.
  • Own and maintain headcount data while collaborating with HR and business functions to generate accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Investigate, analyze and explain operational and financial variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Proactively spot and communicate trends and risks within financials.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes. 
  • Develop pro-forma and “what if” scenarios to project financial impact of contemplated changes.
  • Partner with management on various projects, related data requests and financial reports to support strategic initiatives, ad hoc projects and assignments as they develop.
  • Identify and lead process improvement activities and cross functional projects.
  • Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
  • Work with Business Objects tool and assist in implementing dashboard reporting of key performance indicators.

Basic Qualifications


We seek an individual with a successful track record who must be comfortable with a fast paced and changing environment. The ideal candidate will have:


  • Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/financial analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
  • Experience in financial modeling, business analysis, FP&A, business integration, analytics in a corporate (HQ) environment
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP Business Objects and Host Analytics, etc.
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for the US


 


Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA, CPA, CMA
  • Experience with Oracle EBS and SAP Business Intelligence
  • Knowledge of the security/software/SaaS industry
  • Experience working in a global, diverse and multicultural environment

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills:  able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
  • Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review, but must have ability to see the big picture
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required) 
  • Clear thinking/problem solving:  successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Demonstrated influencing skills
  • Both results-oriented and collaborative, able to work as part of a team and independently while managing demands from multiple individuals
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Enthusiastic team player, productive working independently or as part of a group; ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong change agent with particular focus on process improvement
