Senior Verifications Specialist

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Manager, SSL Verification, under the operational direction of the SSL Verification Team Lead, the Senior Verification Specialist is responsible for researching, gathering and validating qualified information for customers purchasing and managing SSL certificates products with the purpose of ensuring adherence to Entrust’s strict verification policies and procedures.  This aligns with Entrust’s annual WebTrust audit.


The main focus of the Verification Specialist is to process customer and service requests. In this role, you will execute verification procedures and ensure that customer account and order information conforms to guidelines and requirements placed on Entrust by international governing bodies.

  • Act as the principal liaison between the verification specialists and the verification auditors to raise any process and system issues\ Responsible for researching, gathering and verifying the correctness and authenticity of the information collected for new ECS orders, account modifications and renewals through Qualified Independent Information Sources (QIIS) and Government Information sources (QGIS).

  • Responsible and accountable for having detailed knowledge of Entrust’s verification policies and procedures

  • Work closely with the Verification Auditors to resolve customer issues and to develop and recommend issue resolution

  • Maintain ongoing tracking of work using approved productivity tools to ensure customer requests are continuing to move toward satisfactory completion within prescribed service level timelines

  • Develop and Implement a UAT program to be used for all future release plans

  • Lead core user testing team and delegate responsibilities as needed to achieve release milestones

  • Encourage team members to submit issues to the  process/audit committee as required

  • Work with VA, Team Lead and Management team to identify skill gaps across the verification team

  • Assist with coaching bottom performers to improve skill gaps

  • Provide feedback to the global trainer to build required training material to improve skill gaps

  • Be a subject matter expert with detailed knowledge of industry standards established by the CA/B Forum

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in customer service and order processing support

  • Ability to research, capture and record accurate information 

  • Ability to think independently/creatively and put forward viable resolutions/workarounds

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, paying close attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues internally and externally using emails, phones and chat

  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Excellent skills in organization and time management with the ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent documentation and policy/procedure writing skills

  • Experience working as an effective member of a team

  • College or university degree in business, information systems, or related discipline

  • Knowledge with Salesforce and Jira
