Position Summary

As part of the nCipher South East Asia team, work closely with sales, marketing and operations, and act as a technical consultant to support and generate sales pipeline and close off opportunities in order to deliver business target. Define technical solutions for customers in targeted countries. Provide technical advisory to customer, guide customers on security best practice to solve their business problems, and lead customer to success with nCipher security solutions.
Key areas of responsibility:

A technical consultant for nCipher products and solutions, who works closely with the Sales team to advocate nCipher solution and deliver the business target assigned in South East Asia Region. 60% in Thailand, the rest with Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.
  • Assist South East Asia Sales Team to generate sales pipeline and close off opportunities to attain sales target.
  • Collaborate with entire nCipher team (Marketing, Operations, Sales Development…) and nCipher APAC HQ to demonstrate nCipher solutions to prospects, existing customers and resellers.
  • Answer customer query on nCipher products, discover customer requirements and pain points on data security.
  • Technical advisory to customer, guide customers on security best practice to solve their business problems, and lead customer to success with nCipher security solutions.
  • Deliver Proof of Concept
  • Prepare technical proposal and solution architecture document for RFP response and customer project in the region
  • Conduct technical workshop and training for resellers and customers.
  • Gather on-going prospect/customer feedback and related information.
  • Deliver remote and field-based product installations (in absence of Professional Services team), problem resolution and technical know-how on product integration.
  • Deliver presentations at industry conferences, seminars, and nCipher marketing events
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on nCipher product
  • Contribute and sharing of demos and technical know-how to the SE community.

Required knowledge/skills/experience:

A degree in a computer-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Analysis, etc.) or a similar discipline. Any additional business-related education would be a plus. Demonstrable experience in the IT field, ideally IT Security, working within a Pre-Sales, Consultancy or Technical Support role.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in technology pre-sales role, partnering with sales team on technological support of high value customer focused solutions centred on IT Systems / Security.
  • The ideal candidate would have at least some previous exposure to one or more areas in Hardware Security Modules, PKI, Windows and Unix Operating Systems and networking. nCipher leadership qualities: Self-Managed, team player, agile, able to shape solutions out of complexity as well as be customer focused.
  • The candidate must have an understanding of the software development process, cryptographic APIs and languages such as PKCS#11, Java and C for leading the General Purpose HSM product domain.
  • Sound experience and domain knowledge of cryptographic technologies inclusive of encryption solutions (such PKI, digital signing, blockchain etc.)
  • Excellent Communications skills (Written and Verbal)
Educational and location requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/ university or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Based in Bangkok, Thailand
