Position Overview: 

The Senior Income Tax Analyst will report to the Senior Income Tax Manager and will be involved in all areas of income tax, including federal and state compliance, tax research and analysis, controversy, accounting for income taxes, and special projects as assigned. One major focus of the role will be on state income taxes, including returns, apportionment, state tax research and analysis, state controversy, and support for the state tax provision and forecasting of state taxes. The Senior Income Tax Analyst will also be involved in federal tax compliance, including the U.S. reporting of international, as well as the R&D tax credit. The Senior Tax Analyst will assist in reducing the tax compliance burden and overall tax liability of Entrust Datacard through improved processes, collaboration, curiosity, and research.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Own and prepare state tax compliance, including returns, apportionment, quarterly estimates, etc.
  • Manage state income tax audits and respond to state income tax notices as they arise.
  • Assist in preparation of federal tax compliance, including US reporting of international (e.g. Forms 5471, 8858, 5472, etc.)
  • Prepare US R&D Credit calculation and reporting
  • Prepare/support state tax provision and related account reconciliations
  • Assist with the Accounting for Income taxes for U.S. and non-U.S. entities.
  • Stay well-informed of and implement state and local income tax law changes impacting the Company
  • Focus on efficiency through the use of technology and improved processes
  • Involvement in special projects as they arise (e.g. tax planning, tax reform modeling, R&D tax credit, etc.)
  • Other general income tax compliance matters as they arise.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Income Tax experience in federal and state tax matters
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Masters of Tax
  • Understanding of Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740)
  • Experience with OneSource or similar tax compliance software
  • Oracle experience
  • Strong communications skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines
  • A healthy sense of urgency
