Position Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced global benefits professional to play an important role in our global benefit programs and key projects. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in benefit plan design and operation, project management, vendor management, and data and process analysis.  Focus is on Canada, EMEA, and Latin America.  This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Benefits
Canada Benefits
Manages and administers Canada benefit programs and policies (30%)
    1. Owns and manages benefit plan design, implementation and communication
    2. Oversees  daily benefit plan administration including health and retirement plans
    3. See below for other related responsibilities
Oversees and supports global benefit programs and policies including health, welfare and retirement plans (Canada, EMEA and Latin America)

1.  General Management and Administration

  • Oversee and work closely with country broker on the annual benefits renewal process. Provide support in global benefit plan renewals with data collection, cost analysis, distribution of materials, etc.
  • Maintains sound partnerships with local brokers and providers to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • For Brazil and Mexico, reviews monthly invoices and works with in-Country Controller to process invoices on a monthly basis
  • Maintains a database inventory of all regional benefits, specified by country, and compilation of key benefit documentation and contracts.
  • Ensures country benefits summaries and benefits processes are documented and up-to-date.
  • Manage and implement benefit plan changes and take the lead in related benefit plan projects
  • Owns and manages the global business travel accident program and policy
2.  Communications & Engagement
  • Assist in the roll out of new international benefit plans. Partners with broker and in-country HR to conduct associate meetings for enrollment or new benefit introduction
  • Provides employees with a high level of customer service and addresses issues in a timely manner.
  • Supports other HR team members by resolving escalated benefits issues and providing technical benefits expertise.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
3. Compliance
  • Serve as subject matter expert & ensure compliance with benefits-related country & local statutory requirements regarding employee benefits. 
  • Supports benefits compliance review of Non-US countries to ensure the company is compliant with local requirements has the required benefits standard in place
4. Project Management
  • Manages various global benefits projects. Creates project plan and communication plan; may lead others on the team
  • Supports benefits team on special projects and initiatives.
 5. Analytics, Data Management, Plan Research/Design
  • Completes benchmark surveys.
  • Review and analyze benefit plan design on an annual basis to ensure we are competitive with the market.  Aims to understand local benefits market through benchmark data and insight from broker relationships.
  • Partner with our brokers to analyze data to determine underlying drivers of benefits claims expense in support of short- and long-range expense management
  • Prepare annual budget projections by country for global benefit plans


Basic Qualifications:
  • A university degree or college diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 8 years of global benefits-related experience including experience managing Canada benefits
  • Thorough knowledge of Canada health and welfare and retirement plan design and administration
  • Ability to manage projects simultaneously while working to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills & presentation skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in Canada or the US
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion or near completion of CEBS (or comparable designation).
  • Team player that exhibits credibility, integrity, energy and a strong desire to contribute to Entrust Datacard’s success.
