Sales Manager - Lead Generation

Entrust Datacard is currently looking for a Sales Development Manager, SSL to join our SSL Certificate Services sales team to help us continue our aggressive growth!  This position will be based in our Ottawa, ON office.
The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for leading a team of sales development professionals to generate opportunities for our sales team in the sale of SSL offerings. This position plays a key role in the organization by providing direction, and mentoring of the team as well as implementing and monitoring performance metrics and systems to continuously improve results. This position will coordinate, plan, and strategize with our marketing team on planning and execution around our joint targets.
Management of sales development team – customer facing       
  • Manage and motivate Teams daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly activities so they can achieve goals outlined in their Territory Plan
  • Responsibility for hiring/ onboarding new hires and ongoing training for team;
  • Manage team’s metrics  – they are responsible to accurately report activities in Sales Force and timely follow-up with prospects
  • Identify performance issues and deal with them in a timely and professional manner;
  • Coach/mentor team to deliver SSL value proposition through a variety of methods (i.e., phone, web, etc.) to prospects within their assigned territory
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Entrust products, sales strategies/objectives;
  • Work directly with demand generation, product marketing, and field marketing to provide feedback and suggestions on messaging
  • Partner with marketing team to oversee a bi-weekly product webinar
  • Work with marketing to develop new demand generation campaigns
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to exercises good judgment to achieve positive results
  • Successful track record of prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, and presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decisions-makers
  • Ability to recognize market trends and report customer feedback on product enhancements to the broader team

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum five years of Territory Management experience selling products/services in the information security space
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of Business Value Selling
  • Experience working successfully within a Team Selling environment
  • Proven track record of consistent over-achievement
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Previous formal sales training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years’ experience managing professionals
  • MBA
