Position Overview:

Entrust Datacard is currently looking for a North America Sales Director to join our High Velocity sales team to help us continue our aggressive growth!  The Sales Director will be responsible for leading Net New Acquisition Team of sales professionals, including both field sales and sales development reps. This position plays a key role in the organization by providing strategic sales engagement with the Certificate Services Segment for both SSL and PKI offerings.

Sales Management of Net New Acquisition Team 40%

Key Actions/Activities

  • Provide strategic direction to the team for the successful go to market for new client acquisition in the SSL and PKI spaces.
  • Work closely with the Segment Leader and the technical and marketing teams to develop effective campaigns and product offering for a high velocity model.
  • Manage sales teams’ pipeline – they are responsible for accurately reporting sales activities in Sales Force and timely follow-up with prospects and existing clients
  • Coach/mentor sales team to deliver certificate solutions value proposition through a variety of methods (phone, web, onsite meetings, etc.)
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Entrust Datacard’s certificate solutions product portfolio, sales, and strategic objectives with an ability to clearly articulate the Entrust Datacard value proposition.
  • Develop, share and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all key competitors

  • Assume full responsibility of North America Certificate Solutions plan and quota attainment as agreed to and communicated by the Sales VP High Velocity


Customer Relationship Management & Sales   40%

Key Actions/Activities

  • Present and evangelize as the face of the High Velocity Certificate Services team for both internal and external audiences.

  • Day-to-day targeting, soliciting and closing of new and existing clients through cold calling, leveraging existing customers, inbound leads, following-up on referrals and collaborating with sales executives in other territories/ product segments

  • Taking sole responsibility and ownership for analyzing market opportunities, growing net new business, development of sales strategies, and forecasting and quota retirement within your territory

  • Accurately and timely maintaining pipeline in CRM (Salesforce) and reporting customer feedback on product enhancements to the broader team during weekly sales meetings

  • Skilled time manager and multitasker capable of remaining organized, prioritizing and responsibly following through in all phases of the sales cycle to meet targets while working autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Effective consultative seller and influencer who can quickly inspire trust and confidence in others and interact effectively with individuals at all levels of organizations.

 Leadership & People Management   20%

  • Key Actions/Activities

  • Hire and develop a highly effective sales team, encompassing all the skills needs for a high velocity sales environment.  And then mentor them to improve each and every day.
  • Perform general management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management, performance reviews, individual development activities, etc.
  • Monitor team performance against department standards, and ensure that these standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Assisting in disciplinary decisions and action.
  • Act as escalation point for issues and provide leadership and guidance to team.
  • Provide necessary work direction and manage projects effectively through planning, organization and project management


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of Territory Management experience selling products/services in the information security space
  • Minimum of 3 years leading, hiring, and training a team of high performing account executives
  • Successful history of closing business, and consistent over-achievement of quota

  • Successful track record of prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, and presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decisions-makers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast sales results

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Experience managing Sales Development Rep team

  • Successful track record in a high-volume transaction sales environment

  • Experience working successfully within a Team Selling environment

  • Demonstrated strong working relationship with a Sales Development Rep team

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to exercises good judgment to achieve positive results

  • Previous formal sales training
