Position Purpose:

 

The Business Development Director will proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities which have the potential to drive growth and profitability within the Entrust Software market. The Business Development Director will support the Sales Organization to achieve the revenue objectives from the strategic plan, by seamlessly transitioning customer opportunities to them. The role includes the development of an accelerated growth plan that incorporates the first to market specification of Entrust Datacard solutions, partner identification and engagement, and the regional market development plan to penetrate strategic accounts. The Business Development Director will perform the accountabilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.    

 

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Pipeline Planning

25%

     Collaborate with the VP Americas Strategic Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to establish a targeted set of strategic partners, including but not limited to, major mobile ecosystems (e.g. Apple, Google, Samsung), GSIs (e.g. Accenture, EY, Deloitte).


      Partner with Product Management and Marketing to refine the value proposition as well as sales tools for the Entrust software portfolio.


      Develop partnerships with providers and integrators to gain access to their large install base for possible integration and/or recommendation.


      Actively and aggressively build a prospect strategy incorporating the  unique Entrust Datacard value proposition


      Develop, manage and regularly update business development plans for targeted partners and markets, detailing the company’s position versus desired position 


      Work with Partners, Sales & Marketing early in the process to organize   Entrust Datacard’s strategic positioning approach for opportunities

      

      Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and maintain an enterprise sales pipeline, and execute on the identified pipeline

 

Opportunity Identification & Execution

     Proactively develop new, on trend business opportunities and solutions, like Mobile Smart Credential, which have the potential to drive growth and profitability within the enterprise market


      Provide new concepts along with their fit and alignment to corporate and enterprise strategy 


      Evangelize the development of suitable market solutions in a cost effective and timely manner


      Use Market Knowledge to proactively identify innovative, new platforms and business opportunities based on timely customer and consumer unmet & unarticulated needs.


·                Develop a deep understanding of the competitive set within the                            enterprise market, and leverage this to develop and evangelize                            sustainable points of difference which meet customer needs


·                Use in-depth customer knowledge to be the champion of the “voice of                  the customer” internally

 


Relationship Management

25%

     Develop and manage relationships with key market influencers, providing both business and technical input to position Entrust Datacard favorably in the market


     Pursue, develop and maintain relationships with key integrators and potential partners that currently have other services offered into the market to help foster strategic partner relationships


     Actively participate in working groups, committees and industry council


     Secure new partners and customers in the enterprise space while maintaining current valuable partnerships

 


 Basic Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related field

·       Minimum of 6 years progressive experience within sales or business         development

·       Project Management experience

·       Demonstrated leadership experience and skills

·       Strong influencing and presentation skills

·       Proficient with MS products: Excel, Power Point, Outlook

·       Proven experience interacting with senior management, as it relates to     championing opportunities within vertical

·       Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Master’s degree

·       B2B and Consumer market research experience

·       Demonstrated success working on a virtual team

·       Additional language skills

Travel Requirements:  50%+
