Lead Generation Representative - SSL    Req# 180000BL

Position Overview: 
Entrust Certificate Services (ECS) is one of Entrust Datacard's fastest growing SaaS business units and has experienced numerous quarters of double-digit growth.

We are seeking confident, self-driven sales executives who have experience and documented success in enterprise selling, prospecting and closing new business to C-level executives and other decisions-makers.


Working from our Kanata, ON office, your primary role will be to identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities our SSL Certificate products and services into the enterprise space.

  • Clearly articulate Entrust Datacard's unique value proposition through a variety of methods (i.e., phone, web, etc.) to prospects, and North American channel partners.
  • Vet qualified prospects by identifying decision-makers, timeline, and budget potential. Ask qualifying questions to identify the correct prospect contact
  • Prospect daily for new sales leads within your territory. This prospecting includes leveraging referrals from existing customers, inbound leads, cold calling, and working with other territory managers for contacts
  • Book qualified meetings when there is a clear opportunity for a project
  • Maintain specific client information including call records and lead status to enhance prospecting approach in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Work in tandem with sales executives to identify opportunities within the region
  • Contribute to growing sales pipeline and take advantage of market opportunities by working installed base accounts and key named accounts.
  • Skilled time manager and multitasker capable of remaining organized, prioritizing and responsibly following through in all phases of the sales cycle to meet targets while working autonomously and as part of a team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • University or College degree/diploma preferably in business
  • Must be customer-focused and possess strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly about new technology products and service enhancements.
  • Previous success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, and presenting and discussing solutions with decisions-makers. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in software security sales role
  • 1 year of Inside Sales/business to business sales experience.
