Position Overview: 

The HR Business Partner will work with business unit leaders and colleagues predominately in the UK but also across the EMEA region to build organisational capability through performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, interpretation/application of employment policies and procedures and engagement initiatives. The role will be based in nCipher Security Limited (an Entrust Datacard Company) state of the art Cambridge Office, but will involve frequent travel to other Entrust Datacard sites in the UK, most notably Reading, as well as occasionally within Europe and the US.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

 

HR Business Partner - 65%

  • Contribute to the success of the business by supporting business/managers in achieving their goals while being an employee advocate.

  • Provide HR counsel and problem-resolution support in dealing with performance management, employee relations issues, interpretation/application of employment policies and procedures, redundancies, restructuring and long term sickness. 

  • Drive performance culture with rigorous application of the annual Performance Review process.

  • Collaborate with Global HR team on projects as needed.

  • Support change management activities across the region and ensure clear communication and follow-up.

  • Support line managers in annual merit review process.

  • Manage annual Talent Assessment process for your assigned customer group.

  • Create organisation and individual development and retention plans and ensure follow through on them.

  • Identify departmental and individual training needs and develop appropriate solutions.

 

Talent Acquisition – 20%

  • Define job and organisation requirements with line managers and gain appropriate approvals for direct client groups. 

  • Work closely with the client group, Talent Acquisition team and HR Specialist to execute offers to gain acceptance

  • Assist line managers as appropriate with on-boarding and induction plans.

 

Compensation and Benefits Management - 10%

  • Assist HR Director in annual benefits review for EMEA legal entities.

  • Support payroll preparation, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant processing of compensation and benefits.

  • Assist in preparation of ad-hoc benefits changes.

  • Liaise with Global Compensation & Benefits team as needed to ensure global consistency and visibility of other benefits and processes.

 

Health and Safety and other compliance programs - 5%

  • Support the completion of required Company compliance programs including IT Security and Code of Ethics, Right to Work checks, IR35 requirements.

  • Liaise with Health & Safety consultants to ensure compliance with appropriate legislation, participating in audits and Health & Safety Committee meetings as appropriate to the client group.

  • Give support and guidance to managers and colleagues with health related problems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous experience at a similar level in a Human Resources role with a focus on business partnering.

  • Proven ability to follow tasks and activities through to completion.

  • Experience of working with PeopleSoft or other HRIS tools,

  • Experience of managing HR projects.

  • Experience of facilitating informal small group training sessions. 

  • Experience of selection processes and supporting overseas managers in talent selection.

  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and understanding of employment frameworks in other countries.

  • Confident working with spreadsheets and numbers in order to support HR Specialist with payroll and compensation questions

  • Working experience within a global/multi-national corporation, preferably a US company.

  • Aspiration for success and career advancement.

  • Ability to be assertive when required.

  • An independent, professional, self-starter also able to work with the business leaders, EMEA HR and wider HR Team.

  • Result oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

  • Approximate travel requirements: UK 30%.

  • CIPD Full or part qualified (Level 7)
