Position Overview: 

The Benefits/HR Administrator will serve as the face of Human Resources providing excellent customer service to our colleagues. Your main responsibility will be benefits administration and supporting other HR areas as needed. This position reports to the Director, Benefits and is located in our Shakopee, MN location.

 

Responsibilities:

Benefits and Payroll Administrator - 85%

·       Assists the Benefits team in the administration and communication of US benefits plans

·       Administers Education Assistance program

·       Administer the Service Award Program

·       Administer employee gift cards and reconciliation

·       Complete purchase orders for benefit plans and payroll

·       Administer and process the monthly benefit billings

·       Administers new hire benefit and employee change events

·       Complete employee benefit verifications

·       Coordinates and schedules the annual US Benefits Fair

·       Coordinates and administers the annual US Flu Shot Program

·       Conducts the bi-weekly benefits new hire orientation

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Monitor and ensure the confidentiality and proper maintenance of human resources information and reports.

 

HR Administrator - 15%

·       Be the first point of contact for HR questions and phone calls; responds to questions and escalate as required

·       Coordinates Customer/Value Excellence Awards Process

·       Responds to employment verification requests

·       Process department invoices

  • Support colleague meetings and events (Holiday luncheon, company picnic, etc.)
  • Provide other HR Administrator support as requested

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in benefits/HR administration admin role
  • Experience with data entry/maintenance and utilizing data systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office products specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated organizational skills -  ability to manage/prioritize daily workload
  • Sense of urgency
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player, dependable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness and ability to work with all levels
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Experience working in Oracle HR Systems

·       Associate or 4 year degree

·       Accounting experience

·       Understanding of federal, state and local regulations and requirements
