Director, Field Marketing – Americas Region 


Position Overview: 

The Director, Field Marketing will establish a new field marketing program for the Americas region, serving as a vital link between the sales teams and the broader marketing organization.  This position works closely with the region sales leadership to support revenue growth and plan attainment. He or she will lead the field marketing organization in establishing marketing priorities, plans, budget allocations and KPI dashboards for both direct and indirect channels. Works closely with business unit integrated marketing directors to ensure region needs are taken into account in marketing campaign and program planning, then drives in-region execution and results tracking. Serves as corporate representative and periodic speaker at key industry events. Reports to CMO with dotted line reporting to region VP of sales.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for building the annual region marketing plan, in consultation with regional sales leadership and integrated marketing. Plan should include business objectives, key supporting marketing programs and timing, budget allocations, and success measures. Includes both direct and indirect sales channels for six business lines. 
  • Identifies and drives cross-portfolio marketing programs to maximize our investment
  • Serves as the “face of marketing” to the region sales team. Communicates planned programs, continually gathers feedback on sales needs and opportunities to share with corporate marketing and business lines.
  • Works closely with corporate centers of excellence and integrated marketing directors to build and flawlessly execute major marketing programs for the region
  • Works closely with key channel partners to develop joint marketing plans and campaigns, allocating market development funds and tracking results. Creates communication program and cadence to keep partners abreast of new solutions, campaigns, and other business-building opportunities
  • Provides input and intelligence to corporate market insights team on dynamics in key vertical markets – financial services, enterprise security, and government
  • Responsible for regional versioning of sales materials and campaigns
  • Builds high performing team, operating as strategy leader as well as hands-on team member, accountable for:
    • Providing strategic leadership, work direction as necessary, and managing projects effectively through planning, organization and project management.
    • Talent selection, team member, coaching, development and engagement.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree in marketing or business
  • 7+ years’ marketing experience, with at least three years’ B2B field marketing management experience.
  • Experience in one or more key vertical markets – financial services, enterprise security, or government
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA
  • Previous experience in sales and/or business development a plus
  • Past experience setting up a new field marketing department, function or processes successfully
  • Experience working with high value channel and alliance partners to develop mutually beneficial revenue generating programs
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment – has ability to flex based on the needs of the business and negotiate trade-offs with stakeholders. Ability to manage through ambiguity or other situations when all the data isn’t clear or available.
  • Solid strategic skills and capacity to understand business from a market, region, P&L and product perspective
  • Clear business thinker. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Can harness PowerPoint for clear, impactful business presentations and meetings.
  • Dynamic and energetic leader; able to motivate team, drive focus, and deliver results. Execution/outcome orientation.
