Position Overview:
The Tax Associate will report to the Vice President of Tax and will be responsible for tax reporting and analysis, primarily related to international tax. The Tax Associate will maintain current knowledge of corporate tax laws, and possess the ability to perform tax research, analyze tax and accounting information, understand tax concepts and effectively communicate with internal and external professionals. The position requires independent work and thinking. The Tax Associate will also assist in reducing the tax compliance burden and overall tax liability of Entrust Datacard through improved processes, collaboration, curiosity, and research

  • Assist with US and foreign tax reporting including Subpart F, GILTI and foreign tax credit calculations

  • International reporting including Forms 5471, 8858, 1042s, W-8s, 720s, 1120-Fs, residency certifications, etc.

  • Co-ordinate transfer pricing compliance

  • Maintain current knowledge of corporate tax laws affecting the Company

  • Other income tax information reporting as needed (e.g. W-9s, etc.)

  • Monitor the Company’s obligations under Country-by-Country reporting and complete related reporting when required

  • Primary point of contact with Treasury group for FATCA requests

  • Work with outside provider to file the annual Puerto Rico tax return and pay quarterly estimates

  • Focus on efficiency through the use of technology and improved processes

  • Involvement in special projects as they arise

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1+ years of Income Tax experience in federal and state tax matters

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Masters of Tax
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with tax research (CCH, BNA), and familiarity with an ERP system (Oracle)

  • Strong communications skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization

  • Highly organized
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to establish priorities of work assignments

  • Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines

  • A healthy sense of urgency
