Position Overview

The Associate Accountant provides general accounting support in accordance with US GAAP rules.  The candidate will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting team and will report to the Director of Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations.  The Associate Accountant will perform the accountabilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.


Journal Entries & Account Reconciliation – 40%

Key Actions/Activities                                                                             

  • Maintain accounting records and systems for organizational/functional unit(s)
  • Initiate and record entries for transactions, adjustments and other changes to accounting records
  • Perform accounting work using professional concepts and standards
  • Reconcile accounting records

Reporting & Analysis – 40%

Key Actions/Activities                                                                                                          

  • Complete analysis of General Ledger and departmental account fluctuations
  • Prepare financial reports as required by the organizational/functional units
  • Prepare reports for outside parties
  • Perform routine analysis of information based upon organizational/functional units

  • Perform detailed review and analysis of balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare necessary year-end audit schedules

Collaboration – 20%

Key Actions/Activities                                                                                                                         

  • Work with team on the monthly close processes
  • Work with outside parties or service providers such as banks and auditors

  • Recommend changes in the Company’s financial policies and procedures

  • Support management on various projects
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting
  • US GAAP knowledge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven written and verbal communications skills
  • Completed internship in Accounting
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP
  • CPA or MS degree in Accounting a plus
